In this video, I’m going to be talking about shiny object syndrome, when you find yourself constantly pulled off at tangents in your business because you come across a new idea, or see other people doing something, and you plunge straight into implementing this new idea without fully thinking through whether it’s actually the best choice for your business.
If you often find yourself doing this, it can be a subtle form of self-sabotage, as it actually stops you ever really making any progress, and eats up your time, energy and cash.
I’ll go through 7 questions to ask yourself to identify if this is a good business idea or a case of shiny object syndrome- plus one last bonus question at the end.
