HOW TO STOP YOUR MONEY SABOTAGE – 11TH MARCH 4.00PM UK TIME- RACHAEL ROBERTS (SHE/HER)- EARN LEARN THRIVE
A lot of people in education- and I am no exception- have a rather uncomfortable relationship with making money. We care a lot about helping people, and somehow that doesn’t always seem to sit right with making a profit. But the result of this discomfort can be that we end up overloaded, exhausted, and often unwell and/or resentful. That isn’t what we deserve, and it doesn’t serve our clients well either.
In this session I’m going to help you recognise and face up to some of the stories you may have been telling yourself about money, and the ways you may have been unconsciously sabotaging your efforts to work less and earn more. I’ll show you just how things could be different, and set you on the right path to self-care (and client care) through charging well.

THE NEURODIVERSE ENTREPRENEUR- 12TH MARCH 9.30AM UK TIME- CLAIRE HART- EDUCATION AUTHOR AND NEURODIVERSITY CONSULTANT
In this session, I will start by debunking some common myths about neurodiversity and, specifically, neurodiversity in the workplace. Then we will examine strategies that neurodiverse freelancers can use to thrive and I will share insights into how their non-neurodiverse colleagues can get the most out of their collaborations with neurodiverse freelancers. Of course, many of the strategies that benefit neurodiverse freelancers are strategies that all freelancers can benefit from, regardless of how their brain works. The focus will be on forging inclusive and mutually-beneficial working practices.
Bio
Claire Hart has worked in ELT in the UK, France and Germany for almost 20 years. She currently works as a freelance ELT and education author and editor and as a neurodiversity consultant. When talking about neurodiversity, Claire draws on both her own lived experience and research that she has carried out. Her current aim is to help neurodiverse freelancers thrive and to help those who work with them to do that more effectively so that everyone can get better results at work.

GRAND FINALE Q&A: ASK ME ANYTHING YOU NEED HELP WITH IN YOUR BUSINESS- 3.00PM UK TIME- RACHAEL ROBERTS
How often do questions come up about your business and you don’t really know who to ask? How much should I be charging? How can I grow my business? What’s the best platform for me to be marketing on? How often should I post?
Take this opportunity to ask me anything, and learn loads from all the other questions as well.

One of the things I don’t like about ELT is the way that so many excellent professionals are underpaid, undervalued and scraping by. I want to really challenge the low expectations, and culture of ‘having to’ accept poor conditions and teach ELT freelancers the steps they can take to make their businesses truly work for them
