Problem: Diana was making a good income, but at the price of working all the hours and feeling like a ‘squeezed out lemon’
Result: Diana re-structured her business, focusing in on a clear niche and moving away from an hourly rate to offering packages. As a result she now works half the time for the same money, and finally has time for working on her business- and for herself.
‘So now I work 17 hours (instead of 34) and I make the same 5K a month’
What did your business look like before you did Designed to Flourish?
Before I started the program, my business looked like an overwhelming thing that I was absorbed into. I used to work 33, sometimes 34 contact hours per week; no days off.
And I thought it was very tough. But the money was okay for me. But I felt that it can’t last. For a long time, I already felt exhausted, overwhelmed, and squeezed, you see, like a lemon.
Why did you decide to do the programme?
And as soon as I saw your workshop on how to not trade time for money… I attended it and it was like a revelation for me. I got lots of insights. I felt pity on myself. And, uh, parallel to this, I embarked a new student, individual student. And I was, um, like innerly crying because I thought that, oh my God, another two hours.
Well, how could I just survive? And after your session, I just thought…packaging, I should offer her a package. And I did because I wouldn’t lose a lot. I was already overwhelmed and when they said yes, I was really, really happy. This is how I started my journey, following your advice. And from that I understood that your advice is really powerful and I have to follow it if I want to grow. And then, I decided to follow all your posts, all your videos and of course I read all your emails and then I thought, yes, this Designed to Flourish might be, uh, like a magic wand for me, that will bring me from where I am to where I want to be.
And then we had a call and I was hesitant because I was so tired. I thought I needed some rest. And I took the rest, for a month until in July, after a massage, I read your newsletter and I thought, I think I’m ready to accept this help. I’m ready to accept this help with gratitude. And I wrote you.
How did things change as a result of doing Designed to Flourish?
I think taking your programme, investing in it was a very good decision of mine. I think it was the best decision of my last year because I thought I could figure it out on my own. I’m the smartest one in the room. And, uh, then I decided that yes, I need some help and , so now I work 17 hours and I make the same 5K a month.
I have a clear niche right now, although I understand I can go even deeper and I can make it more precise and even more focused. But now I know that I’m mainly working with kids and this is theatre, different projects, and this is where I can bring most of the benefit for them.
Also, I started counting time on my business and in my business and, I’m just recording these numbers, you see, and this helps me to understand where I am, what, how have I grown? And this is also the source of my dopamine and serotonin. I see my progress. I see these little steps. . So I’ve changed the approach to my business. Thanks to you. Yeah, this time which I saved, I used this time for my, personal growth to recharge my batteries, to restore my energy, to become healthier, happier, wealthier. So I have now this space to contemplate, to look from afar, and this vision is so precious, and powerful.
What advice would you give to someone considering Designed to Flourish?
If someone is thinking about taking the program, I would say that’s definitely an investment in your, um, wellbeing in business, but it’s not only a financial investment, it’s also emotional and mental one. So if you have the space, go for it. If you don’t have the space, I mean you are overwhelmed with your work.
Free this play, this space, save it for this program because it’s a deep dive and a profound work, and you need time and energy for this.
